Scouting out their needs: Special troop faces challenges : Local News : Evansville Courier Press

"Castle, 28, is the leader of Girl Scout Troop 806 for youngsters with disabilities. They meet Wednesday afternoons at Evans Middle School in Evansville.

'It's very difficult for disabled children to fit in a typical troop of 25 girls,' says Castle, who teaches special education at Evans. 'You add one child with seizures or bathroom difficulties to that mix, and sometimes the other girls can be rude and disrespectful.'"
